The Claremont Colleges 300x225 The Claremont Colleges: Compatibility with Personality Types and Preferences The five Claremont Colleges, collectively known as the Consortium, operate in five different environments with five separate admission offices. Their cultural environments seem to stem from the time period each was founded. They physically sit across the street from each other, sharing the same compact campus space.

It is a great combination and it is not surprising that they have an educational fit for all sixteen of the Personality Types. Pomona College with its claim to being first, 1887, and the sponsor to the rest is also the wise granddaddy. Their founders embraced a leadership role and looked far into the future (N).

Pomona has an intellectually peaceful environment that stimulates the connection between student and knowledge. In this way, Pomona encourages passion with reason. Scripps College, the women’s college of the Consortium, was founded next in the roaring 20s with the liberated ideals of the times.
